The C.L.E.A.R. Method is the easiest, most surefire way I’ve ever seen to get clear on your marketing message and create a message you love that drives your business, and I’m going to reveal the first 2 parts of it with you today.

C = CLIENT

Who is your ideal client?

When I first started my business, I was helping everyone under the sun, plus I was leading a Zumba class on the side. To say I was stretched multiple directions is an understatement!

Once I got clear on exactly what service I wanted to focus on and who I wanted to serve the most, I started to grow much faster.

One of the things I hear often is “but Amy, I can help so many types of people! I don’t want to limit myself.”

Trust me, I get that. AND most often than not, that thought is coming from a place of scarcity. You feel like if you cast a wider net, you will have an easier time catching the people who want to be clients.

Here’s the thing, it’s actually the opposite.

If you cast a wide net, then you are trying to cater your message to everyone and the result is that no one can hear it.

Get real about the type of person you serve most effectively.

 

What keeps your ideal client up at night?

What problem would they pay anything to solve?

 

Care enough about your ideal client to go deep on getting to know him/her.

Let’s take it a step further…

L = LOVE

Who would you LOVE to work with the most?

 

When I first defined my ideal client, I went from serving a broad range of people to serving entrepreneurs as a business coach.

As I gained more experience, things evolved again, and this step in the C.L.E.A.R. system was born.

What I noticed was while I was most effective working with solo entrepreneurs and small business owners, within those categories, who I LOVED working with was coaches and service-based entrepreneurs.

I LOVED people with big hearts who truly desired to make a difference and SERVE.

This step is all about you taking a stand for who you are most excited to work with.

Getting specific about who you can best serve — and want to serve the most — is like going from yelling to the general public in a crowded room and having no one notice, to addressing your ideal audience with a microphone and having them all appreciate what you have to say.
