I recently asked a group of entrepreneurs about what areas of business they are struggling with the most, and one of the areas that came up was “getting clear on your brand’s message.”
Although this may seem pretty basic, here’s an exercise that has really helped my clients simplify their positioning message:
Fill in the blanks in the following sentence to create your own, clear positioning message.
“I help [_insert type of people or businesses, and then insert desired result__] through [_insert how/ method/ technique__].”
As an example, here’s my own positioning message:
“I help coaches and entrepreneurs build their dream businesses through the power of authentic communication, online and in person.”
The reason I’m sharing this with you is that it is a simple step to grow your own business.
Once you’ve created this clear message, check every connection point you have with your audience (website, e-mails, social media pages, speaking engagements, joint venture projects and ALL in-person opportunities) and be consistent with your clear message.
